Four Seasons Health Care International Nurse Recruitment | Are you ready for a fresh start in the UK?

In January we visited Belfast to meet some of our International Nurses who have decided to relocate to this beautiful city! We wanted to hear their stories and find out why they decided to take the plunge and relocate to the UK. In the video below you will hear from several of our qualified Nurses from all over the world including the Philippines, Zimbabwe and Botswana. Our Nurses share their experiences of the interview and relocation process, obtaining their Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN and settling into their new homes. They also discuss their challenges along the way; providing invaluable advice to anyone who is looking to relocate to the UK.

Trained outside the EU/EEA? Here are some of the steps to securing your Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN…

As you can see from the video, our Nurses have a variety of experience in various clinical settings, but still needed to complete several assessments to be able to practice here in the UK.

Our International Nurses must be able to demonstrate their English language capability through completion of the OET (Occupational English Test) or the IELTS (International English Language Testing System), they must also pass the CBT (Computer Based Test) in their home country, and when they arrive in the UK they must complete their OSCE training. If you have trained outside the EU/EEA and are applying to register as a nurse or midwife in the UK these assessments are all part of registration process with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and allow our Nurse recruits to acquire their PIN.

Not only must our Nurses complete these assessments, but it can be easy to under-estimate and under-value the weight of the life decisions our International Nurses have made, and the journey they have been on to work in the UK. Several of our Nurses have travelled to the UK on their own, leaving their families and life as they knew it in their home countries. It is an incredibly brave decision and our International Recruitment team recognise the sacrifices our Nurses are making in a bid to pursue their life long dreams. That is why at Four Seasons Health Care our dedicated International Recruitment team are here to support you every step of the way.

For more guidance and to be kept up-to-date with the latest requirements visit the NMC website, download the NMC booklet for more information on each part of the process or email to contact our International Recruitment team.
