Here at Four Seasons Health Care we strive to recognise and reward the hard work and dedication of our colleagues. The Recognition of Care and Kindness (ROCK) Award scheme is designed to give residents and/or their families and friends the opportunity to nominate a member of the Four Seasons Care Team who has made a difference for this special award. A ROCK award is a nationwide honour that highlights the impact a Four Seasons Health Care team member has made on the lives of people living in one of our care homes.
Our ROCK Winners | Rewarding the special job our care team do
Although working in health is extremely rewarding we understand that it can be demanding and challenging at times. Four Seasons Health Care wants to recognise each and every member of our team for the very special job they do. You only need to take a look at some of our previous winners to understand what the ROCK Awards are all about. Anyone can be nominated; our winners list features, Care Assistants, Senior Care Assistants, Nurses, Home Managers, Deputy Managers, CHAPs, Personal Activities Leaders, Administrators, Chefs, Maintenance Workers and Gardeners, to name just a few, all of whom have made a difference.
While there are a number of roles featured on the list the underlining reason for all these nominations is the high quality of care provided. All of our team members are truly making a difference to someone’s life. For example, Alexandra Bouse, Senior Care Assistant from Cedars Court Care Home was nominated by Charlotte Bell, Charlotte comments;
"Her outstanding manner with residents and especially my dad is incredible, she always goes above and beyond... No matter what she is going through at home, or how she is feeling, she is always smiling and happy to the residents, she takes time to properly get to know each of them, and has supported me more than my family have in regards to fighting for the appropriate care within the hospitals and (with) doctors… She really is an amazing person that has helped me in so many ways, without even realising, simply by going above and beyond her role.”
A further example comes from Linda Beatie who nominated the whole team at Laganavle Home for their outstanding levels of care; Linda writes,
"I would like to take this opportunity to recommend the entire team at Laganvale for the care they gave to my late Mum, Beatrice Flannigan. She was treated with great care and dignity by everyone - from the Sister to the Cleaners. During Mum's last weeks, the staff not only cared for Mum in a very passionate manner, but were extremely kind and very caring to all our family members. We were able to spend as much time as we wished with Mum and the hospitality we received was exceptional. My sincere thanks to you all, for the outstanding care and love shown to my dear Mum."
Making a difference
These two examples are just a start when it comes to the heart-warming comments we receive. Working with older people is extremely rewarding. Every individual in our homes knows they are making a difference to someone’s life, and not just to our residents. By forming close relationships with residents and their families the Four Seasons Health Care Team can support and care for all family members; this shows not only in the quantity of nominations we receive but also in the admiration from family members.
All of the nominations highlight the lasting effect our colleagues have on our residents and their family. It truly warms the heart to read each and every nomination. It is a testament to the work our team provide, and they all should be extremely proud! Each and every member of the Four Seasons Care Team is valued by our residents, their family and by us.
